The Arizona 1300 GT series builds on this tradition with a printer series that is truly ready when you are thanks to an instant-on LED curing system eliminating the wait time before you can start printing. Featuring a 125 x 250 cm (4’x8′) true flatbed table format and support for a Roll Media Option, the Arizona 1300 series enable you to produce an exceptional range of high-value graphic art and industrial applications. Available with your choice of 4, 6 or 8 ink channels that include support for CMYK plus White, Varnish and Light Cyan and Light Magenta inks.

Featuring a true flatbed architecture for high quality, versatile printing on rigid substrates up to 50.8 mm (2 inches) thick, the stationary table design of the Arizona allows printing onto irregular shaped items without requiring any special jig. Due to the extreme table flatness, the Arizona image sharpness is consistent everywhere on the table surface. Coupled with the excellent dot placement accuracy this means we can print a drop of ink on top of a drop of ink and produce texture. The Canon Touchstone software, for elevated printing was developed exactly to take advantage of this feature and makes file preparation and printing of texture extremely easy.

The Arizona Xpert software turns complex job setup into a quick, effective process. The self-learning capability within Arizona Xpert can learn your steps to setup multi-layered, complex jobs – even double sided jobs or jobs with transparency. Then, you can save the steps as a recipe and later apply that recipe to any similar jobs.

Rigid media handling is also benefited by pneumatic registration pins that allow you to accurately and repeatedly position a board on the flatbed table. With the Roll Media Option, switching between roll and rigid print jobs can be done at the push of a button with no extra tables to setup or store away.

Time doing maintenance is minimized thanks to the Automated Maintenance System for hands-free printhead maintenance that can selectively restore nozzle functionality in seconds.

Unique Technologies

VariaDot imaging technology

VariaDot imaging technology allows piezoelectric printheads to produce droplets of varying volume on demand. This allows the connected workflow software to specify an appropriate droplet size for each specific image feature. When rendering fine detail such as small type or fine lines, very small droplets can be used, when rendering areas of tonal transition or quartertone values such as skin tones drops of medium volumes can be used and for areas of high density such as solid colors, large droplets can be used.
