Packing the renowned printing aggression of the AdvancedJET AJ-1000 into a compact 74″ device, Roland® officially launched its AJ-740 amidst much anticipation from the market.
The AdvancedJET AJ-740 is engineered for maximum productivity with print speeds reaching up to 81m2/h (872 sqft/h) and 44m2/h (473 sqft/h) in a precision print mode. The AJ-740 goes up to a maximum resolution of 720 x 720 dpi.
Using EcoXtreme inks which feature better ink bonding, scratch and alcohol resistance, the AJ-740 runs in a 6-colour CMYKLcLm ink configuration. The AJ- 740 is also built with 2 new features: Light ink control profiles and high-contrast print mode. Light ink control profiles help ensure consistent quality on both glossy and matt vinyl while the high-contrast print mode delivers more vivid prints with a richer contrast.
Specially engineered for high-volume production, the AJ-740 comes with an automated media feed and take-up system which handles rolls up to 100 kg. An included tri-heater and blower system also helps ensure that prints are dry and suitable for take-up even at the highest production speeds.
