Double Cut

Double Cut is a CNC foam cutting machine conceived for cutting the blocks of expanded polystyrene along 4 different sides and getting the highest accuracy. This hot wire foam cutter is working with CNC technology (computer numerical control) and is equipped with 8 independent axes. Furthermore is possible to add as extra axis the vertical turntable and the horizontal lathe. Using Double Cut is possible to execute cuts along the 4 sides of the foam blocks and is not necessary to move or rotate it.
Simple solutions for complex foam cutting
The process for cutting the blocks of expanded polystyrene, used by Double Cut is the most efficient and accurate because the operator does not need to move the foam block or turn it losing the centre point. Double Cut is a versatile machine recommended for large production of acoustic insulating panels, foam sheets for the external wall insulation system (EIFS), eps / xps slabs, inserts for blocks and any other shape in 2d and 3d.
Applications
Developed for those companies who has the specific requirement of cutting the blocks of expanded / extruded polystyrene along the 4 sides without moving it from the original position. Two hot wires orthogonally positioned and driven by one controller will execute the cut. This is a system developed for reducing the production time and increase the accuracy. This machine is recommended for the production of foam packaging, eps slabs, thermal and acoustic panels, cornices, mouldings, foam inserts for blocks, precast, decorative elements, letters.
